András Salamon

This is my central, rather homely, homepage.

Currently I am a postgraduate student at the Computing Laboratory, University of Oxford. Here is some personal background about Andras Salamon (that's me).

I maintain these pages with substantial original content:
Andras Salamon's research
DNS Resources Directory (DNSRD)
Free software by Andras Salamon
Constraints blog
Computer stuff

My name is shared with

Contact me at <andras@dns.net>. Unsolicited bulk email is not welcome. I pursue spammers vigorously, especially if they send mail to aawaCIK@dns.net.

I used the email address andras@is.co.za from 1994 to 2001, sometimes in the variant form andras@apollo.is.co.za. These addresses are no longer active. While at the University of the Witwatersrand, I used a cs.wits.ac.za email address; this is still active (although the variants including host names concave, titan etc. are not). These addresses are scattered around the web on technical mailing list archives, USENET postings, and old source code.

The title of this page refers to a work by Marge Piercy. Look it up.

The following pages are for historical interest (for web archaeologists only), and not being maintained:
Internet Statistics
South African WWW servers
Liz Phair
Stina Nordenstam
Really old annotated bookmarks (broken URLs galore!)
Food and drink
Music, a selection of links hovering between 4AD and drone
Africa, where I live and work
Reading, online materials I used to visit frequently
WWW, useful supporting strands of the Web
